Rainbow trout from Guldhaven – a sustainable choice now in more stores
Dagab is launching Guldhaven's Swedish-farmed rainbow trout widely at Willys, Hemköp, City Gross and Snabbgross, starting in week 40.
Guldhaven’s Swedish-farmed rainbow trout arrived in freezer cabinets last year and has quickly become a popular choice for people looking for a sustainable, affordable and flavourful Swedish fish. Now Dagab is meeting growing demand by launching the rainbow trout widely at Willys, Hemköp, City Gross and Snabbgross.
The rainbow trout, which carries the Från Sverige origin label, is now available in practical 4 × 125 gram portion packs in the chains’ freezer cabinets. The launch responds to consumers’ growing wish for sustainable, affordable and Swedish-produced options.
– We are very happy that our rainbow trout is now reaching so many more people. Our vision is to make it easier for everyone to choose a sustainable and flavourful fish, and this wide distribution makes that possible. — Emma Gabrielsson, then CEO of Guldhaven
Guldhaven’s rainbow trout has a mild, elegant flavour that the whole family enjoys and is an excellent alternative to both regular salmon and cod. The fish is cut into even portions with the skin on, which keeps the texture juicy and makes cooking easy – perfect for quick weeknight dinners and more festive meals alike.
– We are pleased to contribute to a more sustainable future by offering Guldhaven’s Swedish-farmed rainbow trout to our customers. The combination of high quality, great taste and sustainability makes it a natural choice. — Robert Carls, Category Manager & Private Label Purchasing at Axfood
At the same time, Urban Deli has started working with Guldhaven to serve the rainbow trout in its restaurants and deli counters – a responsible alternative for the classic salmon bagel.
Guldhaven’s rainbow trout is listed as frozen 4 × 125 gram portions at Willys, Hemköp, City Gross and Snabbgross from week 40 through Dagab’s launch. The recommended retail price is SEK 129.
